Jemimah Rodrigues scored 203 runs in the previous five innings at an average of 67.67.
The 26th match of the Kia Super League 2019 will be played between Yorkshire Diamonds and Southern Vipers at the York Cricket Club in York.
The match starts at 2:30 PM local time (7:00 PM IST) (1:30 PM GMT).
The 3rd team to join the finals day could be decided on Sunday when the Yorkshire Diamonds host the Southern Vipers at the York Cricket Club. The Vipers, who have 22 points, are placed at No.3 in the points table. The Diamonds have only 12 points but still got an outside chance to finish in top three. For that to happen, the Yorkshire team needs to win their remaining matches with a bonus point.
At the same time, Vipers need to lose their last match against Loughborough Lightning. The equation wouldn’t be this complicated had Diamonds sneaked in a win over the Vipers last week. The Yorkshire team lost by three runs from a stage where they needed 17 runs from last three overs with seven wickets in hand. They bounced back with a win against Thunder whom they defeated twice this season.
Sunday is expected to record high temperatures in York. Clear skies and sunny conditions are expected during the game between the Diamonds and Vipers. There is no rain predicted during the match timings.
The York Cricket Club ground has ideal conditions for chasing totals. The venue hosted four KSL matches thus far with the team batting first posting 150+ on three instances. Twice the target has been chased down. During last season match, Vipers made 163 while chasing Diamonds’ total of 175 and lost narrowly.
Average first innings score: 138 (KSL games)
