Live: Bomb squad rush to ‘suspicious package’ at Burnley Cricket Club – LancsLive


Bomb disposal officers have been called to Burnley Cricket Club where a suspicious package has been reported.

Police are responding to reports of the package found today (September 24) and have placed a 100m cordon at the the club on Belvedere Road.

Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) teams are on their way to the scene.

A spokesperson for Burnley and Padiham Police said: “We are currently responding to reports a suspicious package has been found at Burnley Cricket Club on Belvedere Road.

“Officers are at the scene and a 100m cordon is currently in place while we investigate.

“The EOD has been called to assess the package.”
